OUR SAPPHIRE MINES
In December 1998, in the then little-known village of Ilakaka, a local farmer stumbled upon a remarkable blue stone unlike anything he had ever seen. Curious, he brought it back to the village in search of answers.
Shortly afterwards, a renowned gemologist passing through immediately identified it as a sapphire. News spread rapidly around the world, attracting gem experts, miners and traders to what had once been a quiet village. Within a short time, Ilakaka's population grew from around 600 inhabitants to more than 60,000, marking the beginning of one of the world's greatest sapphire discoveries.
In early 1999, we settled in Ilakaka and began mining sapphires. Because traditional mining methods were both dangerous and inefficient, we developed the region's first mechanised sapphire mines, improving both safety and working conditions.
Our mining methods are environmentally responsible, with no lasting impact on the land or surrounding communities, making our sapphires truly ethically mined.

FULL TRACEABILITY
From the extraction of the rough sapphire to the creation of the finished jewel, every stage is carried out entirely in our own workshops.
After ethical mining, your sapphire is cut and polished on-site, often right before your eyes, before being transformed into a unique bespoke piece of jewellery by our master jewellers.
This exceptional approach guarantees 100% traceability. Every sapphire comes directly from our own mines, with no intermediaries involved.
Watch your jewellery come to life.

OUR COMMITMENTS
Our Community Projects
We actively invest our time, energy and financial resources in community initiatives around our mining operations, with the goal of improving the quality of life for local people.
Aware of the region's challenges, we support projects that promote access to education, improved living conditions and essential infrastructure.
Through these initiatives, we aim to create a lasting positive impact, helping local communities build a more stable, dignified and sustainable future.
For us, economic development only has meaning when it goes hand in hand with human progress.

Our Ethical Values
Ethics are at the heart of everything we do.
From sapphire mining to jewellery creation, we are committed to responsible practices that respect both the environment and the local communities.
Our objective is to operate sustainably, minimising our environmental footprint while preserving natural resources for future generations.
